STATESVILLE, North Carolina – Brandon Lynn will make his 2017 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards debut this Friday evening in the General Tire 200 at the Talladega Superspeedway. Lynn will be behind the wheel of the No. 88 Worth a Shot/ Remodeez Chevrolet for Mason Mitchell Motorsports (MMM).
Lynn recently earned a top-15 finish at the Bristol Motor Speedway with the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East.
Lynn has seven ARCA starts to his credit with a career-best finish of sixth coming last spring at the Fairgrounds Speedway in Nashville, Tennessee.
The 21-year-old is no stranger when it comes to racing in the draft in ARCA as he has one start at Talladega and one start at Daytona both coming last season.
MMM looks to make it back-to-back wins at the Talladega Superspeedway. Last year the team earned their first restrictor plate win at the 2.66-mile track with Gus Dean driving the No. 98.
Driver Brandon Lynn Quotes:
“I am really honored to be working with Mason, Kevin and everyone at MMM. They prepare amazing cars and their equipment is always top notch. Hopefully, we can put the 88 back in contention and earn two wins in a row for MMM at Talladega. I want to thank Worth a Shot Gun Shop and Remodeez for coming on board for this race last minute.
It’s always good to have experience on the big tracks. I know we haven’t put ourselves in the best spots for good finishes in the past at Daytona and Talladega but I know we could’ve been a front-runner at the end. More than anything it’s all about patience at these tracks and not getting caught up in a bad situation that could end your day early.
Racing at Talladega takes a lot out of a driver mentally. There’s a lot of time to physically rest on the straights but you have to constantly be on your mental game. Resting for one second could cost you a spot or even the race if you’re not paying attention.”
Chassis Information: Brandon will be behind the wheel of chassis No. 100 out of the MMM stable. Kaz Grala raced the machine to a tenth-place finish at the Daytona International Speedway in February. This is also the same car that won at Talladega last year.
MMM Stats at Talladega: MMM has three starts at Talladega earning one win (2016), two top-five finishes and two top-tens. MMM has also started inside the top-five in every prior Talladega start (3).
